ACID RINSE FOR HAIR
You can make your own hair conditioner at the end of the shampoo wash, which balances the pH of the scalp, brings shine, smoothness and manageability:
2 dl of water
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar/apple cider vinegar
(If you wish, you can add a few drops of essential oil)
Mix together and apply to hair and scalp. Leave it on for a while and rinse. Half the recipe is enough for short hair. The vinegar smell of the acid rinse disappears soon after the hair dries.
The rinse works excellently with a natural, soap-based shampoo and helps especially if you have just switched to using bar shampoo or your hair is porous or damaged. Hair that is porous and coated with styling products will attract more soap residue from shampoo bars, and the hair may then feel sticky. Compared to industrial shampoo, our bar shampoo is gentler and leaves the hair feeling fluffier, because it doesn't wash the hair and scalp so strongly. Give your hair and scalp some time to get used to the shampoo and you'll notice that e.g. the sebum secretion of the scalp is balanced and the washing intervals often become longer as a result.
