3 natural tips to get rid of blackheads

Would you like to get rid of blackheads naturally? Blackheads, skin worms, spots and pimples are a sign of skin that easily collects impurities and blockages. When blackheads appear on the skin, it's easy to grab quick solutions and tricks that don't necessarily solve the basic problem. When impurities appear, it may seem that now it is necessary to use heavy-duty cleaning products and discipline the skin properly. Often these procedures and overly cleansing products, toothpaste treatments, highly foaming gels and cleaning agents only make the problem worse. When the surface of the skin dries out, it cannot breathe and clean itself. Impurities remain in the skin and cause more problems and even deep subcutaneous pimples.

Instead of torturing your skin, try these three tips for treating blackheads. Functionality and effectiveness of these tips are based on treating the root causes of the problem and still naturally.

1. Skin cleansing - these ingredients help in removing blackheads

  • Tea tree oil is a natural substance that suppresses inflammation and naturally eliminates skin bacteria. An ancient art against pimples and impurities. (Never use tea tree oil undiluted on the skin).

  • Activated charcoal gently exfoliates dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and at the same time absorbs excess sebum, slag and chemicals accumulated on the skin. The surface of the skin is smoothed and softened.
  • The minerals contained in sea salt (e.g. magnesium and potassium) create osmotic pressure, causing water and skin nutrients to rise from the lower skin layers to the surface. The skin stays moisturized and smooth.

Tea Tree Oil & Activated Charcoal facial soap contains these all natural blackhead eliminators: tea tree oil, activated charcoal and sea salt. The skin brightens and stays clean. Kolme Cosmetics' face soaps contain 50% sea salt and are therefore more moisturizing than bar soaps made from natural soap alone. The effects start to show on the skin within about two weeks.

2. Use a moisturizer containing salicylic acid, or BHA acid

Both pimples and blackheads can be prevented by preventing pore clogging. Thanks to their oil solubility, BHA acids help prevent the clogging plug (i.e. blackhead) formed by sebum and dead skin cells accumulating at the mouth of the skin pore. Salicylic acid is able to clean pores by literally "lifting and digging" impurities out of the pore.

Calendula is a natural source of salicylic acid and can be found  as unmodified, cold-extracted form as possible in Vitamin Oil Serum Raw Calendula. The serum is an excellent moisturizer for easily blocked, acne-prone or inflamed skin. Remember to always use face water after cleansing - it helps the skin maintain its moisture balance and thus also prevents skin blockages. Pure Beauty Berry Mist Blueberry & Willow Bark Extract is an excellent power moisturizer for easily blocked skin. It also contains willow bark extract, which is a natural source of salicylate (BHA acids).

Always use in this order:
cleanser, toner, serum and face cream

Vitamin Oil Serum Raw Calendula is suitable for all skin types, because calendula is an excellent herb for balancing various skin imbalances. That's why it's so suitable for oily, combination skin, dry and sensitive skin and acne skin. For oily skin, it can completely replace face cream. It is very quickly absorbed, moisturizes the skin deeply and is also suitable for the sensitive skin around the eyes.

Normal, dry, sensitive and skin that needs nutrients: You can add Calendula cream on top of the serum. It gives extra protection and moisture to dry and sensitive skin. It is excellent for locking moisture in the skin, especially in cold seasons or if the skin needs extra moisture and nutrients.

The flowers of the marigold serum are grown in Kolme Cosmetics' own garden without chemical pesticides or fertilizers.

3. Absorb blackheads from the skin with a clay and zeolite mask

The power of the clay and zeolite mask is based on minerals that directly absorb excess sebum and dirt from the skin pores. They are excellent for treating and preventing blackheads and inflamed pimples.

Zeolite has a special strong negative charge that attracts excess sebum, impurities and air pollution from the skin. Zeolite cleansing milk powder works as an effective deep cleansing detox mask. It also contains antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory tea tree oil and is therefore suitable for the treatment of blackheads. (The zeolite we use, clinoptilolite, is a naturally occurring volcanic mineral and should not be confused with the industrially produced synthetic version used in laundry detergents).

Deep cleansing & detox face mask

2 teaspoons of zeolite cleansing milk powder + 2 teaspoons of water
Mix the ingredients in a small container and apply to the cleansed face with a mask brush or fingers.
Leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
Rinse.

A gentler version for dry and sensitive skin is made from premium quality white kaolin clay. White kaolin clay is the gentlest and least drying natural clay.

Here are instructions for making a kaolin clay mask. Depending on your skin type, choose a liquid to be mixed with the clay below:

  • Dry/sensitive skin: Yogurt, cream, honey or vegetable oils such as sesame, grape seed, almond, jojoba or olive oil.
  • Normal skin: Light vegetable oil, such as grape seed oil or sweet almond oil, whole milk, as well as floral waters, such as rose or orange. Use only one liquid at a time!
  • Oily skin: Distilled or spring water, witch hazel and flower waters.

Add liquid so that the mass becomes a thick paste that is easy to spread on the face. Add a small amount of liquid at a time so that the mask does not become too runny.

Clean the skin thoroughly before applying the mask. The clay can thus function optimally. You can also steam your face before applying the mask. This opens up the skin pores.

Apply the mask to the face with your fingers or a brush. Apply a thick layer to allow the clay to work properly. Leave on for 5-20 minutes. The drying time depends on the thickness of the mask and whether there is oil in the mixture.

Wash off the mask before it is completely dry.

Finish with toner, serum and face cream.

Even if you don't take the whole protocol as part of your skin care routine right away, I recommend at least trying the Calendula serum - it moisturizes the skin and significantly reduces the need for cleansing due to the BHA acids. You get multiple benefits with one product.

Do you have a working trick to remove blackheads or are you going to try something mentioned above?
